It is located in the urban area. It was reconstructed after the earthquake of 1829 in the same place that occupied the chapel of the Palace of the Counts of Pinohermoso that was dedicated on May 22, 1653 by the Bishop of Orihuela, Ludovico X. On May 22, 2003 was held CCCL Anniversary of the Consecration and dedication of this temple that guards today some vestige of the original one. Inside there is the image of Ntra. Sra. de Monserrate sculpture of the great sculptor, disciple of Jose Sanchez Lozano, Manuel Ribera Girona. The crown of the Virgin is a magnificent work of the Valencian gold article realized by Workshops David of Valencia. Other two sculptures are sheltered in the temple: San Isidro Labrador, Patron Saint of the locality, and that of Ntra. Sra. de la Soledad, both works of the young sculptor Ramon Cuenca Santo.
Adjacent to the temple is the Lion’s Square. It mark the centre of the village and there get up imposing six palms of a same root symbol and emblem of our people like the monument of the Lion of Pinohermoso on a marble column crowned by the effigy of a lion holding between his claws the heraldic shield of the Counts of Pinohermoso.
Recently inaugurated, located in the Lion’s Square, it assembles characteristics of a modern, functional and minimalist building that contains the offices of the local authorities and of the municipal services as well as the file and the boardroom.
On the 6th, 7 and 8 December is realized in our village this trade fair where there can be acquired all kinds of Christmas products and of the local trade as well as taste its rich gastronomy in numerous stands installed around the Square of the Lion. Several are the playful and cultural activities that take place during the fair.
Following Christian tradition Jesus' Nativity is celebrated by several religious acts. The Concert of Christmas of December 25 (with Orchestra and Choir), the stroke of New year’ Eve of December 31 with the cotillion and the grapes of the luck and the dance in the tent, and the spectacular Cavalcade of the Magi of January 5 take place during these holidays.
Several acts of rule and devotion commemorate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ emphasizing the processions of the Holy Burial that takes place the Holy Saturday and of the Holy Meeting the Easter Sunday.

Around May 15, feast of our patron saint, San Isidro Labrador, there is a pilgrimage which brings together devotees of the miraculous saint in the place "El Marco" to enjoy of a holiday day and to go on a retreat among all neighbours and visitors.
By September, Daya Vieja wears its best clothes to celebrate their patron saint, the Virgen de Monserrate. Several traditional events are held like the Parade of the Cane (dating from 1901), the local festival opening speech, folk festivals, the festival, different sports competitions and many religious events which culminate in the procession of the Virgin and the shot of a fabulous fireworks castle.
