Location Map Dolores

The population of Dolores is placed in the region of the Vega Baja in Alicante, to 4 kilometres over Almoradí, and to 4 kilometres below Catral. One accedes to it easily from the highway AP-7 Crevillente-Cartagena, in a free section of toll, or from the road that connects it directly with Elche.

Its municipal area, of 18,25 Km2 of surface, borders in the northern part with Catral, in the western part with Callosa, in the southern part with Almoradí and Daya Nueva and in the eastern part on a vast extension of lands of cultivation that are divided between the terms of Elche and Guardamar.

Raised up to only 4 meters over the level of the sea, its landscape is flat and typically of garden, splashed of beautiful houses of garden and residential areas. The efficient systems of irrigation of its multiple azarbes and irrigation ditches facilitate an almost exclusive predominance of the irrigation on the dry land, and of the products of garden on the fruit trees.
