The parish Church, under the patronage of Ntra. Sra. Del Pilar, was built in 1886 with the cooperation of the neighbours. It has a central nave, two smaller side, space dedicated to the high altar, choir and tower. In the imagery that embellishes it stands out: image of Ntra. Sra. Del Pilar, sculpture of great perfection, under the heading of the sculptor José Sánchez Lozano; Virgen de la Dolorosa, spectacular work of the Salzillo school, and the overwhelming sculpture of round form, the Cristo de la Agonía, of anonymous author. This temple has undergone changes in its internal structure and in its external appearance in the period 1996-1999.
It organizes a large number of activities between 21 December and 7 January each year, around a tent about 400 m2, in which one can enjoy leisure activities related to the smallest of the town, as screening of cinema, storytelling, magic attractions, entertainers, ... up to the youth of the town with mobile disco and bar. Without forgetting the most traditional, with the exhibition of Traditional Nativity and Craftsman of the municipality, created for those dates by women from the town, which has a dimensions of 6 x 6 m2.
They are remains of a flour mill at Finca Las Moreras. The energy produced by wind was used for milling.
It is one of the most important rural parts of the town of Los Montesinos, located just 3 km and a half from the urban city. The first settlement dates back to Roman times and is attested by the existence of archaeological remains. Where is the Hermitage of "La Marquesa" of great historical tradition, is one of the treasures of Los Montesinos, located in a set of buildings that made up the farming town, it was carry out in its origins, the mission of providing religious support to the farmers of adjacent fields. Gable roof, rectangular plant, bell tower and chapel.
La Marquesa shelter also a cistern, dating from the eighteenth century, built by the Jesuitas of Orihuela, owners of the land, to guarantee the water supply to the first core of population, is a barrel-vaulted cistern with decantation tank. It has a rectangular plant and masonry walls and joined with hydraulic lime mortar both inside and outside, shows remains of reddish stucco.
It is an exponent of the water architecture very typical in the dryness of the Vega Baja. It is a building of lime mortar and limestone, plastered. The building has two parts, one outside finished off in chapel of hexagonal form, with the curb of access of gray stone and other one interior constituted by a rectangular cistern covered by barrel vault.
Like the two previous, it reflected us the importance that had for our ancestors the water storage. Built in the eighteenth century, has a rectangular plant excavated in the subsoil, whose work of masonry and lime mortar presents barrel vault, with three circular holes as a vent. The system of rainwater collection was done from the west sector, through several gutters that come together in the hall, with circular plant which in turn communicated with the entrance of the cistern.
It is located in the roundabout of the salt lagoon of Torrevieja. The estate combined the natural uses (pastures and barilla) with a dedication to the promotion of cereal crops or olive more and more. Like other agricultural settlement environment reached its peaks in the second half of the eighteenth century, once the coast was free of the been afraid of North African privateering raids.
The group built is a faithful reflection of the economy of the dryness, which is characterized by the predominance of large farms dedicated to the farming exploitation in which lived several families of tenants or sharecroppers. In its vicinity are located archaeological remains of a Roman villa, linked to the Via Augusta. This deposit makes evident the existence of a settlement from the ancient world in the dryness of the Bajo Segura.
Calzada Romana cercana a los 2.000 años de antigüedad que antaño conectaba España con el resto de Europa (Cartagena-Romana). Actualmente forma parte de un proyecto de valoración como ruta natural, turistica y cultural llevado a cabo por la Generalitat Valenciana.
Esta zona protegida de gran valor y diversidad medioambiental, refugio de especies de flora y fauna autóctonas, parte de nuestro término municipal, que se encuentra inmerso en este espacio natural, además de los municipios de Torrevieja y de Guardamar del Segura. Fue declarado Paraje Natural mediante Decreto de la Generalitat Valenciana 189/1988 de 12 de Diciembre, y en el año 1996 fue declarado Parque Natural.
